The Angels Unaware Board met several times during the spring — thinking and planning regarding fundraisers, The Murder Mystery, and Camp Ray-Ray. As you know, we postponed the Murder Mystery that was scheduled for mid-March, and the new date is yet to be determined. 

 

We have also decided not to have Camp Ray-Ray this year. As much as it saddens us to stop our 25-year streak of offering a fun family camp, we are committed to our families’ and volunteers’ safety and health. We feel there are too many risks considering the uncertainty of COVID-19. In no way did we want to pause Camp but feel it’s for the best. We have reserved a weekend for next summer in hopes that all of this mess will be sorted out. For now, please reserve your calendars for Camp Ray-Ray #26 on August 20-22, 2021.

 

We miss you and send love your way! During these times of change and anxiety, we are thinking about you and your loved ones.

 

COVID-19 has affected us all, and our world has changed rapidly from this pandemic, as well as social movements and reform. As always, Angels Unaware is committed to creating an equitable community where we gather together (now virtually) for friendship, support, love and fun. This is not our first pandemic. The HIV/AIDS pandemic has killed over 35 million people worldwide and is what brought us together 29 years ago. We have navigated the HIV/AIDS pandemic with grace and love. Know that we will be here for you.

 

We do want to offer something – support, connection, etc. Angels Unaware and Camp Ray-Ray is all about connecting with each other, maintaining our friendship, kindred spirits, support, empathy, compassion, love, and fun! With that being said, please join us in August for a virtual Camp Ray-Ray on Facebook. The Camp Committee is planning to host the following:
